Museums
The University of Alabama Museums' growing paleontology collection within the Department of Museum Research and Collections is estimated to contain over 500,000 specimens, some of which are considered to be among the best in the world. This fund is used to provide support for the paleontological collections, including field collection of specimens, materials and supplies for housing and care of specimens, support for student training, maintenance of UA’s paleontological field site Harrell Station, and professional development.
