Capstone Center for
Student Success
REACH Program students are some of the University’s most vulnerable, and they need the financial support of Champions who will help the REACH Program serve as many students as possible. REACH Champions make an annual charitable contribution to support the REACH Program each calendar year. These annual gifts are vital to ensuring the REACH Program can serve REACH students while maintaining a high standard of support for everyone involved.
The University of Alabama REACH Program is the home on campus for students from foster care backgrounds, legal orphans, those raised in kinship guardianship care and homeless students at UA. REACH provides financial, social and academic support in addition to a community of peers with similar lived experiences to support one another during their time at UA. Students can join REACH at any point in their college experience, but a specific emphasis is put on first-year engagement to provide the tools to be successful and supported during the college transition. REACH also offers opportunities for campus and community mentorship, cultural and professional development experiences as well as an emergency food pantry to meet the wide variety of needs of our students.
